I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and advanced practice mindfulness instructor with 10 years of experience practicing psychotherapy in Madison. My practice experience includes work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

At some point, every one of us is vulnerable to conditions that overwhelm us with confusion or anxiety, and drain us of energy. Whenever we lose our way in life due to loss, anxiety/depression, addiction, or conflicted relationships, we often feel we are stumbling in the dark, unable to remember positive experiences such as simple happiness, curiosity, and fulfillment . Effective psychotherapy is a process of “turning on the lights” of awareness that enable us to recover a sense of clarity and meaningful direction.

I work with clients toward understanding the obstacles in their way, and recognizing who they are apart from their problems. The most effective therapeutic change occurs when we activate innate strengths and wisdom we already possess. My clients experience a sense of expansiveness which allows for greater emotional flexibility, internal balance, and freedom to make changes reflecting their personal values. I assist my clients in acquiring skills of mindful awareness designed to serve them now and throughout the rest of their lives.
